Selecting A Niche Market

Do you have a hobby something that you are passionate about. You could make you knowledge sell.

When you think you’ve found such a niche market, ask yourself these important questions:
1) Do you have an interest or passion for the niche? If not, do you think you can develop one? Or will you get bored with it quickly?
2) Are other people passionate about your niche? If not, do they have a desperate problem they want to solve?
3) Is the market big enough, but not so big you’ll have too much competition when you’re just starting out?
4) Do the people in this niche spend money?
5) What products are being successfully sold right now to this niche? Can you sell something similar? Can you improve it, give them something they want that all other products of their kind are currently lacking?

There are MANY resources out there that’ll help you with this kind of research. The key is to stick with the ones you find helpful and that are working for you. If you try to run your niche through every tool out there, you’re going to get some conflicting results, and it’s going to take you forever.

Peticure Pet Nail Trimmer and PediPaws Review

Peticure Pet Nail Trimmer and/or the PediPaws both basically do the same thing. Which is to gently and painlessly file your Pet’s nails to leave them trim, rounded and smooth.

A nail trimmer for your dog or cat without the pain that can be caused by traditional nail clippers. I never liked to use the traditional nail clippers because I didn’t like the crushing sound of the nails just as much as my dogs didn’t like it. I always made my husband cut their nails.

I am getting my dogs one of these for Christmas. My son brought his when he came to visit and as you can see by the pictures his dog Dillon doesn’t mind it at all.

The brown paw in the last picture is Bailey’s another one of Shaun’s dogs…he just had to get in on the action…LOL

nailtriming 020 300x225 Peticure Pet Nail Trimmer and PediPaws Review

And this is my Moedawg giving me the evil eye…I think he was telling me to not even think about it.

But we did do his toe nails. I had to hold him that’s why there is no pictures of him getting his done…

It was a big step in his life because he hates any kind of noise. Smoke detectors makes him run or leave the room if it happens to be on a TV commercial…lol

So My three on the other hand didn’t really care for it but I know they will get use to the filing rather than the crushing. I would suggest that you watch the video on how to introduce your pet to the Peticure or the PediPaws.

We did do Moedawg nails he wasn’t to happy but he wasn’t as bad with the Peticure as he usually is with the traditional nail clippers. He even stayed in the room when Dillon was getting his done which normally he will leave the room if he sees you doing anything like that with the other dogs.

Anyway my point is I wanted to try it to see if it really did do what it was suppose to do….and it did. It might take a little time to get your pet use to the noise it makes (which isn’t really that loud) but in the end I think your pet will be happy.

I think the Peticure Pet Nail Trimmer Peticure Pet Nail Trimmer and PediPaws Review and/or the PediPaws Peticure Pet Nail Trimmer and PediPaws Review will get a thumbs in our house.

Mars Petcare Announces Extension of Pet Food Recall

Franklin, Tennessee (November 25, 2008) —Today, Mars Petcare US announced an extension of a previously announced voluntary recall of dry cat and dog food products manufactured at its Allentown, Pennsylvania facility with “Best By” dates between August 11, 2009 – October 3, 2009. The pet food is being voluntarily recalled because of potential contamination with Salmonella. This voluntary recall affects product sold at BJ’s Wholesale Club, ShopRite Supermarkets, and Wal-mart locations in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, and West Virginia.

Salmonella can cause serious infections in dogs and cats, and, if there is cross contamination caused by handling of the pet food, in people as well, especially children, the aged, and people with compromised immune systems. Healthy people potentially infected with Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. On rare occasions, Salmonella can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers.

Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Animals can be carriers with no visible symptoms and potentially infect other animals or humans. If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian.

This action is an extension of the voluntary recall issued on October 27, 2008 of all sizes of SPECIAL KITTY® Gourmet Blend dry cat food produced at the Allentown facility on August 11, 2008. We recently learned that an additional sample of SPECIAL KITTY® made on September 25, 2008 at the Allentown facility tested positive for Salmonella. There have been no reported cases of human or pet illness caused by Salmonella associated with products produced at this facility. Mars Petcare US is taking an additional precautionary action to protect pets and their owners by extending the October 27, 2008 voluntary recall to include all dry pet food product produced at the facility with “Best By” dates between August 11, 2009 and October 3, 2009.

Dog and Cat Health Economic Stimulus Special

Veterinary Care can be very expensive in good times, but with the way things are with our economy right now many dogs and cats might be paying the price.

Beside giving pets un-healthy pet food to save money many people will stop taking their pets to the Veterinarian…which could be a good thing and a bad thing.

Good because I feel to many vets promote un-healthy food and give to many vaccines which can cause more damage then good…(my opinion). Bad because some pets do need special care and won’t get it because pet parents won’t be able to afford the bill.

Introducing Your Pet and New Baby

This is dedicated to Shaun and Erin (my son and his wife). Who had informed me over the weekend that they were expecting their first child in June. Congratulations! I know you both will make great parents.

If your family already includes a pet, (in their case they have 3 dogs) they will need to help the first “babies” adjust to the new one they soon bring home. You can help your pet cope with this big change in much the same way parents help children understand that a new brother or sister will be joining the family. By following the tips below, you can ease your pet’s stress, help her welcome your new baby, and ensure that your pet stays where she belongs—with you and your growing family.

How Will Your Pet React?

No matter how much you plan ahead, the addition of a new family member may be difficult for your pet. Remember, your dog or cat was your first “baby” and is used to being the center of your attention. So it’s understandable that she may experience something similar to sibling rivalry when you introduce a new human baby into your household.

You can minimize this feeling by working with him/her before you bring home your baby. For example, because your new baby will demand a lot of your time and energy, gradually accustom your pet to spending less time with you.

Drastically decreasing attention and frequently scolding, ignoring, or isolating your pet after the baby comes home will likely make your pet feel stressed. If your pet is particularly attached to the mother-to-be, another family member should develop a closer relationship with the animal. That way, the pet can still feel loved and provided for while mom is busy with the baby.

How You Can Prepare Your Pet

Below are several suggestions to make introducing your pet and baby safer and smoother for all. Be sure to carry out these changes months before the baby’s arrival to best prepare your pet.

Encourage friends with infants to visit your home to accustom your pet to babies. Supervise all pet and infant interactions.

Accustom your pet to baby-related noises months before the baby is expected. For example, play recordings of a baby crying, turn on the mechanical infant swing, and use the rocking chair. Make these positive experiences for your pet by offering a treat or playtime.

Use a baby doll to help your pet get used to the real thing. Carry around a swaddled baby doll, take the doll in the stroller when you walk your dog, and use the doll to get your pet used to routine baby activities, such as bathing and diaper changing.

Talk to your pet about the baby, using the baby’s name if you’ve selected one.

Sprinkle baby powder or baby oil on your skin so your pet becomes familiar with the new smells.

Finally, plan ahead to make sure your pet gets proper care while you’re at the birthing center.

What To Do After The Baby Is Born

Welcoming a new baby is exciting for your family. Remember when you first brought home your dog or cat? But before you bring your baby home from the hospital, have your partner or friend take home something with the baby’s scent (such as a blanket) for your pet to investigate.

When you return from the hospital, your pet may be eager to greet you and receive your attention. Have someone else take the baby into another room while you give your pet a warm, but calm, welcome. Keep some treats handy so you can distract your pet.

After the initial greeting, you can bring your pet with you to sit next to the baby; reward your pet with treats for appropriate behavior. Remember, you want your pet to view associating with the baby as a positive experience. To prevent anxiety or injury, never force your pet to get near the baby, and always supervise any interaction.

Life will no doubt be hectic caring for your new baby, but try to maintain regular routines as much as possible to help your pet adjust. And be sure to spend one-on-one quality time with your pet each day—it may help relax you, too.

With proper training, supervision, and adjustments, you, your new baby, and your pet should be able to live together safely and happily as one (now larger) family.

I wish you all the best and the joy that a baby can bring into you life.

To You and Your Pets Health,

Alice

To Shaun and Erin and my grand-doggies Dillon, Tyler and Bailey all my love, Life is going to get a lot more interesting.

Do Pets Make Good Christmas Or Hanukkah Gifts

Some people think it’s a wonderful idea to surprise a friend or relative with an adorable puppy or kitten as a gift. In reality, an animal is probably the most thoughtless present they can give. Modern veterinary care and suburban lifestyles mean the average companion animal will live 12-15 years or more, which means 12-15 years of not just licenses and veterinary care but also supplies such as food, collars, leashes, litter boxes, etc. A friend or relative may not be ready to accept that kind of commitment. A “gift” pet should always be discussed with the prospective owner first.

Even when a friend or relative is ready for a pet, holiday excitement amid new surroundings may terrify a new dog or cat. A better gift at Christmas or Hanukkah is a book about the animal or on  animal care. After the holidays, when it’s quieter, is a much better time to give the actual animal. The cat or dog will then receive all the calm, loving attention he or she needs. (Kittens and puppies are rarely available at Christmas, as their breeding season usually runs from early spring to fall.)

Adopt an animal from a shelter rather than purchase one at a pet store. Because of mass breeding techniques, pet store animals often suffer diseases not apparent at time of purchase. Shelter animals have often had all their shots (except rabies), and many are usually already spayed or neutered. Also consider the benefits of adopting an adult animal, who may already be housebroken or used to a litter box, and be at least partially trained. Remember, adopting a shelter animal means saving a life!

Another wonderful gift for an animal lover is to make a donation to a local shelter in his or her name. Most facilities offer thoughtful acknowledgments that will mean a great deal to your friend. After all, animals don’t know about holidays, people do. For the animal “who has everything,” helping other animals may be “just the thing.”

A child under 7 years of age should not receive as presents any baby animals (chicks, ducks, rabbits, young kittens, etc.). These baby animals may not survive Christmas morning when children, too young to know better, squeeze the life from them. And in families where young children may know how to treat baby animals properly, can the same be said of their friends from school? A stuffed toy animal is cuddly, cute, never needs feeding or veterinary care, doesn’t carry disease, and adapts well to periods of indifference.

When you do get that pet make sure you are feeding them the best that you can. It is important to look past attractive labels and clever marketing ploys when deciding which dog food to provide your precious pet.

I recommend that you choose a brand of pet food that is free of chemical preservatives and colors, with consistent ingredients and one that has NEVER been recalled.Look here for Healthy Pet Food.

Want To Make A Difference In Your Pets Life

DID YOU KNOW… The maximum life span of our dogs and cats is estimated to be about 25 to 30 years and yet the average pet lives only 13 to 14 years?

The problem with contaminated pet food still continues we just don’t hear about it in the news for some reason until it is too late for some pets. (money)

We are losing our pets due to tainted or harmful pet food ingredients

Massive recalls for well known brands of dog and cat foods.

March 2007, our nation experienced the single largest recall of pet food

More than 100 brands of pet foods were pulled off the shelves due to tainted ingredients.
Americans are constantly being misled by clever marketing tactics regarding which food is best for their pet. The unsuitable and harmful ingredients that are used, how long it is stored before it is ever placed on shelves for sale.

It’s time to stop trusting the your pet to anyone who makes a pet food.

What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue

A friend sent this to me. It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish… all before making a human. He made and provided what we’d need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when eaten raw.  We’re such slow learners…

God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!

The Pharmacy is Amazing Vegetables And Fruits!

carrot What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

tomato What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

grapes What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

walnut What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums.  Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

kidney beans What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

celery What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

avcadoes What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this?  It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

figs What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

sweet potatoes What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

olives What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries

oranges What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

onions What Foods Help What Part Of Our Body Heres A Clue Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Now that you know what to eat to make you healthy. How about learning about healthy pet food for your best friends.

Have A Safe Thanksgiving Holiday With Your Pets

As the holidays approach keep in mind when decorating with flowers that some can be poisonous to our pets. These include lilies, which can cause kidney failure in cats.

poinsettia 150x150 Have A Safe Thanksgiving Holiday With Your Pets

Poinsettias and holly, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea; and mistletoe, which can cause cardiovascular problems and gastrointestinal upset.

If your pets are nearby during a festive meal, which mine are always around ask your guests to refrain from “just giving them a little treat.” Rich table scraps may upset a companion animal’s digestion and result in vomiting or diarrhea.

turkey Have A Safe Thanksgiving Holiday With Your PetsIf serving the traditional meal for the Thanksgiving holiday, make sure those turkey bones are dumped in the outside garbage where your dog or cat can’t get to them. And outside trash bins need to be secured against plundering by other outdoor animals.

As with other drugs, keep alcohol away from your pets. You’d be surprised how many cats and dogs will drink wine, beer, or sweet mixed drinks. Only a little can intoxicate a dog, and too much can affect his breathing, put him into shock, even cause his system to shut down. Even if the dog survives, his system will have an unpleasant hangover to deal with. Keep alcohol — including those half-full glasses left over from the party away from your pets.

Acupressure May Help Save Your Pets Life

Dr Andrew Jones of Veterinary Secrets Revealed had an emergency call.

The owner called his dog was having a seizure. The dogs head and legs were rigid and extended, he was paddling, lying on his side and unresponsive and didn’t know what to do…would you?

Here is what he did…he gave these specifics to the owner;

At the base of your pets nose-right below the nostrils, there is a very responsive acupressure point.

Dr Jones had them hold their middle finger over that point – with moderate pressure- for 1 minute.

Guess what, He STOPPED seizuring. WOW….Did the Acupressure do this? PERHAPS

Many seizures do just stop on their own but it is nice to know this might help your pet if he/she ever has a seizure. BUT it was a pretty impressive cause and effect.

The name of the point? GV 26. Would you like to know where other pressure points are and how you can help your pet for other problems?

National Recall of Topical Acne Cream

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — GALLATIN, TN, November 13, 2008 – CSI, USA, Inc. issued a voluntary nationwide consumer product recall of all lots of 1 ounce (28 g) tubes of 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Cream with the following names: “DG Maximum Strength Acne Medicated Gel” (sold at Dollar General); “Kroger Acne Gel 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Medication” (sold at Kroger); and “Equate: Medicated Acne Gel” (sold at Wal-Mart).

These products are being recalled because samples of the products were found to contain bacteria identified as “Burkholderia Cepacia,” formerly known as Pseudomonas Cepacia.

After conducting a thorough assessment, the company concluded that the risk of illness in healthy individuals following use of this product is very low. However, there could be an increased health risk of infections for individuals with cuts, scrapes, rashes or other compromised skin conditions; or those with weakened or suppressed immune systems.

The rest of the story

What exactly causes acne in the first place?

Oil glands are located deep in the skin that are connected to a tiny canal that contains a hair.

Oily skin occurs when an overactive oil gland enlarges and overproduces oil. Acne develops when some of the pores become blocked and prevents normal oil flow from the oil gland to reach the skin surface. A blackhead or whitehead will develop from this blockage by skin cells that have been shed from the lining of the skin pore that has bunched together.

Clay can help get rid of Acne – Why use harsh chemicals that can harm your skin.

While toxins, harmful bacteria and other impurities carry a positive charge, Sodium Bentonite Clay used is negatively charged. This creates a strong magnetic-like effect which draws toxins and impurities to the surface and holds them there. These impurities are then carried away with the clay when it is removed, leaving behind skin that’s cleansed, refreshed and purified.

With its unique anti-inflammatory properties, Volcanic Ash Clay  as been praised for its ability to create dramatic improvements in problem skin. Unlike other harsh products on the market that can dry and irritate, the Problem Skin Solution gently soothes away trouble spots and reveals softer, clearer skin beneath. This highly effective formula also helps prevent future blemishes by reducing the accumulation of dead skin cells and impurities that can clog pores over time.
