Antidepressants drugs has now gone to the dogs. The Big Pharma has successfully completed its takeover of veterinary medicine in the United States and other first-world nations. Knowing that massive profits could be generated through the bodies of pets, drug companies have spent two decades pursuing an aggressive campaign of rewriting vet school curricula, influencing veterinarians and brainwashing pet owners into thinking their dogs, cats and horses need drugs in order to be healthy.
Thanks to Big Pharma influence, veterinary medicine today has become just as much of a joke as the conventional medical system used to treat humans. The goal is no longer to actually heal anyone, but rather to profits by treating and managing diseases without curing or preventing them. Many vets have figured this out, too: If they treat the animals with pharmaceuticals instead of actually curing them of disease (or preventing disease), they benefit from lucrative repeat business!

(NaturalNews) “Big Pharma is constantly looking for new ways to develop its markets and generate more profits. This is the inescapable directive of all corporations: Be more profitable, regardless of the cost to society. In Big Pharma’s case, the pursuit of this mission inevitably leads to the targeting of an ever-increasing selection of pharmaceutical consumers who have the potential to become lifelong customers”.
“When a sufficient number of children were drugged with antidepressants and amphetamines (like Ritalin), the drug companies realized there was still one non-drugged entity in a typical household that could potentially become a new revenue source: The family dog. So Big Pharma lobbied the FDA for the approval of antidepressant drugs for dogs, and in February, 2007, the FDA approved Prozac for dogs. Because, apparently, dogs have “chemical imbalances in their brain” requiring treatment with patented synthetic chemicals, just like children and adults, right?” Read the Whole Story Right Here:
I hope that anyone reading doesn’t let their Veterinarian talk them into doing anything as stupid as this. I strongly suggest that you find another Vet one who cares about your pet and not about money. (This is another topic I will be talking about – so come on back!)
