America’s Food Industries Are Making A Killing

America’s food companies are  making a killing on us and they just might be making us sick.

We all buy food from our local supermarkets to serve our families but how much do we really know about them?

In Food, Inc., filmmaker Robert Kenner gives us insight on our nation’s food industry. He exposes what has been hidden from consumers with the consent of the USDA and The FDA who are the regulatory agencies of our government.

We now have bigger-breasted chickens, insecticide-resistant soybean seeds, and even tomatoes that won’t go bad. We also have new strains of e coli which is the harmful bacteria that cause illness for an estimated 73,000 Americans yearly. Our society is overcome with widespread obesity, predominantly among children, and an epidemic of diabetes among adults and children.

Sadly our food supply is controlled by corporations that most of the time puts profit and greed before consumers health, the American farmer, workers safety and even our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising -and shocking truths about what we eat and how it’s produced.

Media is keeping Americans clueless about this threat

Why am I not surprise! The media does this all the time, of course they can’t tell things how they really are because it would cause mass hysteria and the government won’t let them tell the truth about anything anyway.

It really is a shame when your life is controled by people that don’t give a crap about what happens to you as long as they can have power and make money.

You can’t believe a word the news media, the government, the FDA and defantily not anything the pharmaceutical companies tell you.

This has got to stop…I don’t know how that would every happen but something has to be done before we are all going to be in big trouble….or dead.

Jane Burgermeister an Austrian investigative journalist is warning the world that the greatest crime in the history of humanity is underway.

Maybe this might help she has filed a lawsuit against the W.H.O. accusing it of bioterrorism through its swine flu vaccination agenda:

Special Request to Every Pet Owner, Your Help is Needed

Our pets need your help to change the way pet food companies label their products.

We need to give the FDA a little push into doing what is right when it comes to our pets, they have drag their heels way to long. Even though they have formed a ‘FDA Transparency Task Force.’  I don’t think they are going to bite the hand that feeds them if you get my drift.

What this would do or should do would hopefully make the Pet Food Manufactures show on their labels if any of their pet food contains or could contain ingredients derived from 4-D animals (dead, diseased, disabled, or dying prior to slaughter), should be required to warn the consumer.

Do we really think the “big pet food companies” would let that happen? RIGHT! It should be that way and our pets need your help to make it happen.

FDA Doesn’t Care About What Goes In Pet Food

This doesn’t come to a surprise to me, in my opinion they don’t care about us our pets or there would be a lot of changes made. Gee who do you think is running this country? Wall Street, the FDA and the good old Big Pharma guys is who I think has control over everything.

There has to be a way to get these guys under control or our lives and our pets lives will certainly suffer more in the days and years to come.

And by the way I was one of those concerned pet owner which got the political jargon that was clear they had never read the letter sent to them.

Back in November 2008, many concerned pet owners across the United States stopped from their busy lives to write their Representatives in Congress regarding pet food; specifically explaining that the FDA allows the laws of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to be violated with pet food.  More than 50 different elected officials of Congress received a letter; each received the same letter, which carefully detailed the undeniable evidence.  Some of the elected Representatives didn’t even bother to respond to their constituent, however most responded with such political jargon it was clear they had never read the letter sent to them.  Out of over 50 Representatives in Congress, only one bothered to ask the FDA to respond.  Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia sent our letter to the FDA asking for a response.

The FDA website states about Federal Law 402(a)(5):

 “Pet food consisting of material from diseased animals or animals which have died otherwise than by slaughter, which is in violation of 402(a)(5) will not ordinarily be actionable, if it is not otherwise in violation of the law.  It will be considered fit for animal consumption.”

So what this really means is that we as pet owners will have to be careful and read and know exactly is in our pets food because the one that should be looking out for them clearly doesn’t give an da##.

FDA Denies Investigation on Nutro Products – Surprise – NOT

Here we go again folks, they will wait til this reaches the epidemic stage just like the tainted pet food recall in 2007. Well, if they are not investigating, they should be. Why are all of these pets getting sick when they eat it?

The FDA is now saying there is no investigation of NUTRO underway, according to a story from WXYZ in Detroit,

(WXYZ) – There has been a lot of web buzz about an article posted on Consumer Affairs’ web site regarding the safety of Nutro Pet Food. Action News has talked with the Food and Drug Administration and they insist there is no “investigation” underway.

An FDA spokesperson says, “Normally, we do not confirm or deny the existence of an investigation. In this situation, though, it’s unfair to the company to leave the implication out there, so I want to state that there is NO INVESTIGATION currently underway into NUTRO products.”

Chinese Imports Detained By The FDA – The Cause Melamine

The FDA Issued an alert on 11/12/08 They are detaining milk products, all milk derived ingredients.

Ourselves our children and are pets are still at risk because we still import from China. When are we going to learn? To me we should be growing our own crops making our own food. We source everything out including our jobs have been sent overseas maybe if we start doing things like we did ‘back when’ things might straighten out. Hopefully before it is too late.

FDA analyses have detected melamine and cyanuric acid in a number of products that contain milk or milk-derived ingredients, including candy and beverages.  In addition, information received from government sources in a number of countries indicates a wide range and variety of products from a variety of manufacturers have been manufactured using melamine-contaminated milk or milk-derived ingredients, including: fluid and powdered milk, yogurt, frozen desserts, biscuits, cakes and cookies, taffy-like soft candy products, chocolates, and beverages. These products appear to contain at least one milk-derived ingredient and they are of Chinese origin.  Reports of contamination have come from more than thirteen countries in Asia, Europe, and Australia, in addition to the United States.  Additional products from various manufacturers continue to be found to be contaminated with melamine.

The problem of melamine contamination is not limited to infant formula products.  Chinese government sources indicate contamination of milk components, especially dried milk powder, which are used in the manufacture of a variety of finished foods.

Finished food products containing milk that includes a lot of products that we wouldn’t think of… our choices are running out of what we think we can eat without really taking this time to read labels to know what ingredients are in them and where they come from.

FDA Has Let The American People Down Again

For someone that is suppose to look after the American people the (FDA) they sure are not doing their job. Something has to change it’s time for people to tell the FDA’s boss – (Congress) that we want to be protected. They have to stop thinking about their pockets and start thinking about people and also our pets lives.  They need to do the job they are suppose to do if they can’t then we need to find someone who will.

Okay that’s it for my soap-box, here is the story;

(NaturalNews) This Halloween, children across the United States may be poisoned with toxic melamine, a potentially deadly chemical that causes severe kidney damage, liver damage and even death. This chemical is found in chocolates and candy products made in China, which is now embroiled in a global melamine scandal involving eggs, animal feed, candies, infant formula, milk products and much more.

The United States Food and Drug Administration has taken its usual “head in the sand” approach to melamine, declaring all U.S. chocolates and candies to be completely safe, even though it has no evidence whatsoever to back up that position. Then again, poisoning the U.S. public is business as usual at the FDA, where toxic pharmaceuticals, toxic personal care products and dangerous food additives are routinely allowed to be purchased and used by consumers, with absolutely no regard for public safety. (Aspartame remains approved by the FDA, for example. ‘Nuff said.)
