No Bones About It Your Pets Need Calcium

We all know that calcium is essential for our bones and how eating healthy nutritious food that provides it or taking supplements can help.

Here are some fun facts about bones and you can see by the number of bones each has. You will understand why it is important that your pet has a good source of calcium, whether it is from a good pet food or pet supplements.

  • We (humans) have 206 bones
  • Cats have 244 bones
  • and believe it or not dogs have 319

You wouldn’t think that dogs and cats being smaller than us would have so many bones but they do.

Do you kow you can make your own calcium? Save your egg shells. Wash and dry a dozen empty eggshells and bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Grind into a powder using a mortar or coffee grinder. Mix 1/4 tsp into your dog or cats’ food several time a week.

(Note if you are using organic eggs there is no need to bake them.)

Do Different Dog Breeds Need Different Exercise

The most common form of exercise that people and their pets usually enjoy the most is taking a walk…The length of the walk can be different from breed to breed. When taking a dog out for a walk or a run, it’s wise to avoid stone or concrete paths. Grassy roads or parks are best suited for this purpose as they would be easy on his paws. Keeping the dog on an extendable leash would allow it ample freedom and grant the owner suitable control at the same time.

Fetch (with toys or balls), Hunter loves to play ball.

Dogs love active games like Frisbee,

Playing tug-of-war

Swimming is another great way for a dog to burn calories and keep himself cool on a muggy day.

Some do well by getting moderate exercises like playing around the house or fenced backyard/garden with their favorite toys or going out for a walk once a day.

Breeds that requirement low exercises can be satisfied by simply scampering around the house, picking up new tricks or going for short walks. These breeds are perfect for apartment living

Owners should keep an eye on the dog for signs of over-exertion, like excessive panting, bleeding pads, vacant stares, pale lips or face. Dogs are susceptible to heat exhaustion and heat strokes, so it is unwise to make a dog over-exert itself on a hot day.

Dogs with high energy levels are not fit for apartment life and are prone to frustration and aggression if not exercised well. They need brisk, long walks, preferably twice a day. Running or playing freely in a large sized fenced yard to help keep them healthy.

What breed of dog do you have? You can find out below:

Dog Breeds that need Vigorous Exercise

Dog Breeds that need High Exercise

Dog Breeds that need Moderate Exercise

Dog Breeds that need Low Exercise

You should provide healthy pet food containing particular proportions of proteins, carbohydrates, fish oil, and specific pet supplements. A proper balance of the above components will not only keep the dog healthy and happy but it will also save you from the frustration and expense of frequent vet visits.

You can avoid a lot of unnecessary trips to the vet with your pet and save money if you know how to heal your pet at home.

Vaccines, Cancer, Pet Food and Pet Supplements

Every year more and more Vets are asked to treat dogs and cats for cancer. The pets that are being brought to them for cancer treatment are much younger than ever before. There have been plenty of recent studies to confirm these findings, and it’s a fact.

Veterinarians are also seeing a lot more pets with allergies, a lot more skin and gum disease, arthritis, kidney problems… and especially auto-immune diseases – diseases in which a dog’s own immune system turns on them and begins attacking their healthy blood and skin.

Many of these deadly and painful diseases were almost non-existent 10 to 20 years ago. Why is this happening?

There are 3 MAJOR CAUSES..And some very important information that you can do to decrease the likelihood of Cancer affecting your dog or cat.

1. OVER-VACCINATION..vaccinate with as little and as infrequent as possible.

Discover The TRUTH about Pet Vaccines  the Side Effects Of Vaccines and the Alternatives To Vaccines

Find out What you SHOULD give to your dog or cat – and what to AVOID

MOST Veterinarians are STILL giving multivalent vaccines EVERY year- in spite of research documenting the HARMFUL effects of these vaccines. (They get paid a commission for every shot they give.)

2. ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS..Avoid what you can, such as;

Harmful flea and tick treatments, learn the natural options to use instead.

Heartworm Preventatives: there alternatives to regular preventatives. and so much more…

3. POOR QUALITY FOOD…ONLY feed quality food..NOT only Kibble. Supplement your dog or cat.

The most important thing that you can do for your dog and cat to keep them healthy and PREVENT disease is to feed quality dog food and quality cat food.

Ones without any of the following;

  • Chemical Preservatives – BHA, Ethoxyquin
  • By – Products – beaks, feet, feathers, heads
  • Corn, Wheat, or Soy – known allergens
  • Artificial Coloring
  • Flavor Beef fat – Indigestible fat
  • Sugars or Corn Syrup
  • Animal Digest -guts

It’s time to stop trusting the your pet to anyone who makes a pet food.

So let me say again Supplements for your dog or cat to give them a better life and feed quality dog food and quality cat food

Pet Supplements Are They Necessary?
